Gonzalo Alexis Luengo Orellana (Chillán, Chile, 1987), Profesor de Inglés de la Universidad del Bío-Bío que ha ejercido esa carrera desde 2011 en Bulnes, Chile, especialmente haciendo clases a niños desde kinder a octavo básico, desarrolla a la par, una especial faceta como genealogista profesional, es decir, una persona que orienta para encontrar a través de documentos y otros recursos, la historia de sus ancestros. Autor de un blog con más de diez años de existencia, http://genesdefamilia.blogspot.com, donde se dedica a ayudar a entender a cualquiera cómo hacer su árbol genealógico, hace continuamente videos con tutoriales, entrevistas a personajes de familias nobles e investigadores y recorridos por archivos y bibliotecas. Ha publicado un libro en la materia, "La familia Hojas de Burgos", donde refleja su interés por el estudio de las familias migrantes del siglo XIX. Decenas de charlas hechas en todo el país y clientes que lo han llevado a investigar tanto en Chile como Perú y España, a lo largo de sus años de experiencia ha tenido episodios que medios nacionales y especialistas destacado, como el reencuentro con familiares a través de pruebas de ADN o la notable investigación sobre los mensajes emitidos en Twitter durante el terremoto de 2010. Actualmente, en 2024, trabaja en la Escuela Evarista Ogalde Ortega de Tres Esquinas, es consultor voluntario de Templo e Historia Familiar del Centro de Historia Familiar Estaca Chillán, es Diplomado de Genealogía, Nobiliaria y Heráldica en el Instituto Español de Estudios Nobiliarios. Ha dado charlas en RootsTech 2021 y 2022 en línea, en persona en 2023, y la Reunión Americana de Genealogía 2015. Inscrito en la Asociación de Genealogistas Profesionales (APGEN.org). Dentro de actividades sociales, es Miembro de Número del Instituto Chileno de Investigaciones Genealógicas y de la Fundación Wikimedia Chile.

Gonzalo develops, at the same time, a special skill as a professional genealogist, that is, a person who guides to find through documents and other resources, the history of their ancestors. Author of a blog with more than ten years of existence, http://genesdefamilia.blogspot.com, where he is dedicated to help anyone understand how to make their family tree, he makes videos regularly with tutorials, interviews with people from noble families to researchers, and tours through archives and libraries. He has published a book on the matter, "La familia Hojas de Burgos" ("The Hojas family from Burgos"), which reflects his interest in the study of migrant families of the nineteenth century. Dozens of talks made throughout the country and clients that have led him to investigate in person in Chile, Peru and Spain, plus many other places of the world using technology, throughout his years of experience he has had episodes that national media and prominent specialist media had published, such as the reunion with family members through DNA tests or the remarkable investigation into the messages sent on Twitter during the 2010 earthquake of Chile. Currently, in 2021, he works at the Evarista Ogalde Ortega School in Tres Esquinas, Bulnes, Chile, is a volunteer consultant for Temple and Family History at the Estaca Chillán Family History Center, he has a Diploma in Genealogy, Nobility and Heraldry from the Spanish Institute of Nobility Studies and is part of the genealogists staff at Orígenes project.
